Felt Care

A Special Note for Cat Lovers

Cats love their familiar scent! So unless it's really dirty, a deep clean isn’t necessary. Your kitty prefers the comforting smell of their own space. Stick to spot cleaning, and your fur baby will feel right at home. 😺

Regular Maintenance

Spot Clean: Wool naturally resists dirt, so for light messes, gently brush or shake off dirt. A soft cloth or brush can remove pet hair and surface dust.
Vacuum: A gentle vacuum (with a brush attachment on low power) helps remove fur and dust, keeping the cave neat.

Deep Cleaning (Only When Needed!)

Hand Wash: Fill a basin with cold water and add a wool-safe detergent. Submerge the cave and gently swish. Avoid wringing or twisting the wool to protect its shape.
Rinse: Thoroughly rinse with cold water to remove all soap.
Reshape and Dry: Press out excess water using a towel, fill the inside with plastic bags or newspaper to give it back its shape, and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area—avoid machine drying or direct sunlight to prevent shrinking.

Additional Tips

Avoid Excess Moisture: Wool is naturally moisture-resistant, but don’t leave the cave in damp areas for extended periods, as mold could form.
Odor Control: Wool fights odors naturally, but if you'd like to freshen it up, sprinkle a bit of baking soda inside the cave, let it sit for a few hours, and vacuum it out.
Keep It Away from Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight can cause the wool to fade and lose its shape.
